Christian Festivals in India - India is not only a land of varying topographical features, but also a home to people belonging to different religions and ethnicity. The Indian Constitution has defined the country as a secular nation, hence people following different religions coexist in harmony here. As every religion is associated with a number of colorful festivals, it is a treat to eye and a wonderful experience for the soul to see people celebrating festivals in myriad ways. Though Hinduism is the dominant religion, all the important festivals of the other religions are also celebrated with equal enthusiasm and lavishness. A considerable number of Indians also follow Christianity and celebrate various Christian festivalsChristmas, Easter and Good Fridayare some of the most famous festivals celebrated with pomp and gaiety. Not only the Christians, but also their friends and acquaintance from other religions soak themselves in the celebrations of the Christian festivals.
